One of the top “Dental Geeks” we know is Michael Dunn, an eleven year veteran in dental marketing who’s always been passionate about the industry and oral health in general.

Michael’s birthday is this September and he’s asking for something unique this year. He’s asking for help in bringing clean water to the people who desperately need it.

If you work in the dental industry, you know it’s a tight-knit group. We always tend to stick together and help each other out when possible. So today, we’re asking you to help Michael reach his goal of raising $5,000 to help bring clean water to the families of Orissa, India.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Michael’s using the organization, charity: water to help these people in need. Just $20 can give a person in some of the worst conditions imaginable clean water to drink.

So, Dental Geeks unite for a great cause! We’re proud to see Michael using a birthday celebration to motivate good deeds. It’s a selfless act and helps remind us all what’s really important in life. We often take things, such as unlimited access to clean water, for granted. Take some time to think about the people who aren’t as fortunate as we are and donate if you can.
