You all know how much a sucker I am for anything pet- or animal-related, so I had to share this truly amazing news story I ran across:

Those of us in the industry are so involved in the treatment of human dental problems that we forget we’re not the only ones who have teeth. And I think this story is a reminder of just how important teeth are to every living thing. After all, the hippo is allowing a member of a completely different species the most intimate contact imaginable in order to acquire the dental hygiene that it can’t provide for itself!

On a less serious note, if this story ever went viral, could you imagine the new zebra-stripe outfits for hygienists?
